A second added: “Gotta love Motsi. She certainly brings the fun and feisty factor to everything she does on TV.”

A third chimed in: “I think this is my favourite SU2C #GBBO to date. Genuinely funny.”

A fourth added: “After watching @OtiMabuse on #SaturdayNightTakeaway and now @MOTSI_MABUSE on @BritishBakeOff it’s clear to see what a fun loving family they both must come from, we need to see more of them both on TV.”

Featuring 20 different celebrities, the show split its competitors into groups of four, who go head-to-head in the five-episode charity special.

She originally appeared on Let’s Dance, the German version of Strictly Come Dancing, before joining the BBC show as a judge in 2019.

She wrote on Instagram, following the line-up’s announcement: “So much fun. #SU2C #GBBO Coming soon [slice of cake].”
